NCL Hawaiian Islands Cruise

Waikiki & Four-Island Cruise

February 22-March 4, 2018

Thu / Sun - 11 Days

Hawaii, well known as the ever popular Polynesian paradise; unbridled beauty combined with an abundance of things to do and see!

Start off with two nights in a hotel in Honolulu. Stay on famous Waikiki Beach. An excursion to Pearl Harbor and the stirring USS Arizona Memorial (the sunken ship) is included with a city tour before you set sail on Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America to see the Big Island of Hawaii, Maui and Kaui.

NCL’s Pride of America is the best way to see our 50th state! This spectacular ship allows you to cruise America’s paradise in style, with 14 restaurants and nine bars and lounges, and excellent family accommodations – all without having to unpack to see each island. The public spaces are perfect for whale watching, witnessing Kilauea Volcano or taking in the dramatic views of the Na Pali Coast. Hawaii is Pride of America’s home all year round, and is a celebration of all things American, from décor to activities. Enjoy Hawaii’s own Kona Beer on tap in the bars or sit back and relax in the Napa Wine Bar. In the mood for pizza at 3 a.m.? Pride of America offers the ocean’s very first pizza delivery service to your room – 24 hours a day aboard!

Norwegian Cruise Lines’ Freestyle Cruising means your time onboard is less structured, giving you the flexibility to choose and create your own dining, fun and activities. Dress up, dress down, sleep in or catch a sunrise. It’s all up to you!

Itinerary Ship

Thu, Feb 22: Fly to Honolulu, Oahu. Transfer to your hotel and spend two nights near Waikiki Beach.

Fri, Feb 23: Take an included tour of Pearl Harbor and board the USS Arizona Memorial. Afterward, head downtown for a narrated tour of Honolulu’s highlights, including Punchbowl National Cemetery and Iolani Palace. The remainder of the afternoon and evening are at your leisure.

Sat, Feb 24: Board Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America in Honolulu and slip into a relaxed frame of mind, knowing you won’t have to unpack to island-hop for the rest of the trip.

Sun, Feb 25: Kahului, Maui. Considered the most magical and romantic of the islands, Maui is full of lush mountains and rainforests that complement the tropical beaches. Many people choose to see the island’s diverse beauty on a helicopter ride, spying hidden waterfalls in the jungle. Staying overnight on the ship means you can rise before dawn for the ritual sunrise journey to the top of Mount Haleakala. Or sleep in and spend the next day on the beach, kayaking, fishing, snorkeling or hiking. Optional shore excursions include: Tropical Plantation & Iao Valley, Road to Heavenly Hana, Haleakala Crater at Sunset, Whale Watch Cruise, Lahaina Segway Tour.

Mon, Feb 26: Maui. Spend another day ashore exploring more of the magical charms of Maui. Optional shore excursions include: Haleakala Crater at Sunrise, Maui Beach Day, Lanai Wildside Raft Snorkel, Rappel Waterfalls.

Tue, Feb 27: Hilo, Hawaii (the “Big Island”). On the island of Hawaii, many visitors head for Volcanoes National Park, a surreal landscape of lava tubes, fire pits, and an active volcano! You can even take a 45-minute helicopter ride over the smoking Mount Kilauea. Optional shore excursions include: Volcanoes National Park, Circle of Fire by Helicopter; Zipline through Paradise, Journey to Mauna Kea.

Wed, Feb 28: Kona, Hawaii. The Kona District on the Big Island is the gateway to the sunny western coast, where you may take a drive through rolling green pastures, visit sacred sites, or snorkel in a protected marine preserve. Kona is also home to several coffee plantations, Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park, and Kealakekua Bay, where Captain James Cook first set foot on the island in 1778. Optional shore excursions include: Kona Mocha Coffee Country, Captain Zodiac Snorkel & Dolphin Adventure, Gold Coast & Cloud Forest, Magical Seahorse Discovery, Parasailing in Paradise.

Thu, Mar 1: Nawiliwili, Kauai. The tropical paradise of the island of Kauai is ruggedly beautiful and remote (enough that it made an ideal setting for Jurassic Park). Swim underneath a waterfall, visit Fern Grotto and take in the splendor of Waimea Canyon, a sight you have to see to believe. The same can be said for the Na Pali coast — board a smaller boat to sail the coastline edged with 4,000-foot-tall cliffs. Optional shore excursions include: Luau Kalamaku & Plantation Train, Journey to Waimea Canyon, Wailua River & Fern Grotto, Na Pali Explorer.

Fri, Mar 2: Kauai. Enjoy a second day to discover more of this lush tropical island. Optional shore excursions include: Kauai on Horseback, Jewels of Hawaii – Waterfalls & Tropical Gardens, Poipu Surfing Lessons, Mokihana Helcopter.

Sat, Mar 3: Oahu. Disembark in Honolulu and transfer to the airport for your overnight flight home.

Sun, Mar 4: Arrive home in the morning.
